How your project relates to other activities

A factor that funders often want to know is how the project or activities that you are seeking funding for relate to existing activities that you undertake or those undertaken by other organisations.

It may be that there are no related activities but this is pretty unusual.  So here you should identify how this project supports or complements any existing ones.  It is useful to make a list of any links or connections and to note the nature of the link.

In part this is about the funder making sure that you have understood the context that you will be working in and that you have taken steps to maximise the opportunity of working with others.  In the main you should be aware of projects and activities that may be linked but it is always useful to check that you have not missed anything - not least because the funder may be aware of a similar or connected project in your area that they are already funding.
