The Management Team

Funders will often like to know how the project will be managed in terms of where does responsibility lie for a project.  For small projects and for small organisations this may be very easy.  The responsibility will lie with the Board or Management Group or Trustees.  The Board meets regularly and will always discuss progress with the project and amend or change the work in the face of experience.

For larger organisations and larger projects there will be a need to describe how the organisation manages the workload.  For instance it may be that the project has a Project Manager and that within the organisation there is a process by which these are managed. For instance there may be a regular supervision meeting between the Director and the Project Manager and this is the process by which progress is reflected upon.  Similarly the situation may be that the project manager gets support from the Director in an ad hoc fashion

An alternative approach is to establish a Steering Group or Project Board that will be responsible for over seeing the project.  An advantage here is that you will be able to involve users and beneficiaries of the project in its direct management.

Funders will alos want to know who will be doing all the work.  Some information about the project teams is also available on the site.
