Key District Documents -Sustainable Community Strategies

All Local Authorities are required to to develop comprehensive community strategies, in consultation with partners and stakeholders.  These documents, known as Sustainable Community Strateiges, improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of their areas and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in the UK.  They are owned and development by Local Strategic Partnerships that exist in each of the District areas as well as in the County and City.  Some of these partnerships are just know as Local Strategic Partnerships or LSPs, though others have adopted their own name such as Charnwood Together.

Set out below are links to each of the District Councils' Sustainable Community Strategies or the partnerships responsible for their development.  These umbrella strategies for each of the District areas and a good starting point for indicating high level policy across a range of areas.

This website was updated in September 2008 and information is correct at the time of writing.
