About Us
The Leicestershire Funding Toolkit is a Leicestershire Together project, supported financially by Leicestershire Together and Leicestershire County Council. Leicestershire Together is the Local Strategic Partnership for Leicestershire. The Leicestershire Community Strategy 2005 contained a committment from Leicestershire Together to creating the Toolkit, to support the Voluntary and Community sector in their efforts to secure funding for Leicestershire.
The vision of the project was to create an on line resource aimed at voluntary sector funding advisors and community groups in Leicestershire, to allow free access to information, advice and guidance on a range of funding programmes.
The toolkit aims to provide generic advice and guidance to groups, from addressing fundamental questions so that the group is ready to apply for external funding, through to managing and monitoring a project once the funding is secured. All external funding programmes have their own rules, priorities and criteria. This website does not replace any guidance notes from a particular funder, but prompts groups and people working with them to think about and address some of the key issues that funders will need to know, for a successful application. It has been designed in stages so that it can be accessed at any point, depending on the needs of the organisation and their level of expertise.
On this site you can:
Search for sources of funding on a comprehensive database
Read guidance on developing project ideas and making applications for grants
Find details of funding advisors who can help
and much much more
The Funding Toolkit is managed by Leicestershire County Council. For further information, please contact the Policy and Partnerships Team at Leicestershire County Council on 0116 3057020 or email fundingtoolkit@leics.gov.uk
